Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Landscape Supervisor to lead our landscaping team in maintaining and enhancing outdoor spaces. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of horticulture, irrigation, and landscape maintenance, and the ability to oversee multiple projects. This role involves supervising staff, coordinating daily operations, and ensuring high-quality landscape services for residential and commercial clients. The Landscape Supervisor will play a key role in delivering exceptional outdoor environments while fostering a collaborative team atmosphere.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily landscape maintenance activities, including mowing, pruning, planting, and fertilizing.
- Oversee irrigation system installation, repair, and maintenance to ensure efficient water usage.
- Hire, supervise and schedule staff
- Plan, manage and supervise landscape construction work
- Direct planting of trees, gardens and lawns
- Lead gardening and horticulture projects, selecting appropriate plants and ensuring healthy growth.
- Organize planting of trees, gardens and lawns
- Organize the planting and maintenance of trees, gardens, lawns, shrubs and hedges and the construction and installation of fences, decks, patios, walkways and retaining walls
- Resolve work problems by providing technical advice to increase the value and functionality of a property
- Schedule work
- Plan and estimate labour and materials
- Manage construction tasks related to landscape improvements or installations.
- Assign tasks to team members based on skill levels and project requirements; monitor performance for quality assurance.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed during all operations; maintain a safe working environment.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide professional recommendations.
- Schedule work orders, track project progress, and report on completed tasks.
- Provide training and mentorship to team members to develop their skills in landscape maintenance and construction.
Experience
- Proven supervising experience in landscape or horticultural settings.
- Strong knowledge of irrigation systems, gardening techniques, and horticulture principles.
- Experience with landscape maintenance practices including pruning, fertilization, pest control, and lawn care.
- Background in construction related to outdoor environments such as hardscaping or installing features like patios or retaining walls.
- Leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team and manage multiple projects efficiently.

Pay: $36.60-$38.00 per hour
