We’re looking for a highly technical and solutions-oriented Engineering Manager to join our growing engineering team. This senior role offers the chance to define the enterprise Technology Roadmap, lead a multi-disciplinary team across Process, Manufacturing, and Quality, and drive adoption of cutting-edge Industry 4.0 technologies in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define, drive, and implement the Technology Roadmap, championing adoption of disruptive technologies (Additive Manufacturing, AI-driven modelling, Digital Twin ecosystems) to maintain market leadership.
- Hold ultimate accountability for the performance and strategic output of the Process, Manufacturing, and Quality engineering silos.
- Set scientific and technical goals aligned with broad business objectives, assessing technology needs and resource feasibility to maximize return on engineering investment.
- Drive facility-wide Lean and Continuous Improvement initiatives, leveraging predictive analytics and AI-driven troubleshooting to eliminate systemic waste.
- Recruit, assign, and evaluate technical staff; formally coach engineers to advance digital transformation capabilities and preserve institutional knowledge.
- Develop and implement high-level engineering policies and procedures, including formal OT cybersecurity protocols to protect engineering data and production systems.
- Oversee the digital integrity and secure versioning of all engineering documentation, ensuring data streams across MES, ERP, and MQ1 are leveraged for strategic insights.
- Direct integration of complex technical activities and review/approve major contracts and cost estimates for new manufacturing solutions.
- Prepare and present at Management Reviews, translating complex engineering data into strategic narratives for the Executive team.
- Proactively identify and drive adoption of Quality 4.0 and Smart Factory advancements to keep the organization at the forefront of innovation.
Qualifications and Experience:
- University degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Mechatronics, or related field); a Master’s in Engineering, MBA, or Master’s in Technology Management is an asset.
- Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in good standing with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) is considered an asset.
- 15+ years of related experience in high-precision manufacturing or a related technical field (e.g., machining).
- Proven track record in a strategic leadership role with demonstrated success managing and coaching multi-disciplinary technical teams.
- Demonstrated ability to lead digital transformation projects and define an enterprise-wide Digital Roadmap.
- Proven ability to interpret and apply Digital Twin/Simulation outputs to drive business strategy and financial ROI.
- Familiarity with AI/ML, Predictive Analytics, and the strategic ROI of Additive/Hybrid Manufacturing.
- Knowledge of OT/IT cybersecurity risk assessment and MES/ERP system integration.

- Must be eligible to pass a security assessment for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP)
- Strong communication and mentorship skills with the ability to support technical knowledge transfer across teams
