Urbanmine is a leading metal recycling and resource recovery company committed to safety, operational excellence, and environmental sustainability. We are currently looking for a dependable, self-motivated individual to join our team as an Equipment Fueling & Maintenance Support Technician.
This is not a truck driving position.
Key Responsibilities - Equipment Fueling & Service
- Fuel diesel & gas powered heavy equipment including loaders, material handlers, highway tractors, mobile trucks and other mobile equipment.
- Perform daily equipment inspections including fluid levels and visual checks.
- Maintain accurate fueling records
- Safely operate heavy equipment as required within the facility.
Maintenance & Facility Support
- Perform industrial housekeeping and cleanup throughout our production buildings
- Keep walkways, work areas, and production areas clean and organized
- Assist the Maintenance Teams with general support
- Help maintain a safe work environment by identifying and correcting house keeping concerns.
- Participate in safety meetings and follow all company safety procedures
Qualifications - We are looking for someone who has:
- Must be available to work a permanent Monday to Friday afternoon and evening shift
- Experience operating heavy equipment such as loaders, tractors, skid steers, forklifts, telehandlers, or similar industrial equipment
- A Valid Class 5 drivers licence.
- A strong commitment to workplace safety
- The ability to work independently and manage priorities
- Good physical fitness and the ability to perform active work throughout the shift.
- A positive attitude and willingness to support multiple departments
Preferred Experience
- Industrial, manufacturing, construction, recycling, mining, or agricultural experience.
- Basic mechanical aptitude.
- Experience working around heavy equipment.
