Material Handler – Staffmax
Staffmax is currently recruiting Material Handlers for a busy food production facility in the Winnipeg area. You must have a car there is no bus access to this location. This role is responsible for packaging finished products, operating warehouse equipment, and ensuring products are prepared accurately and safely for shipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate packaging and palletizing equipment
- Label, inspect, and prepare products for shipment
- Load, unload, and move materials using a forklift
- Maintain inventory and organize warehouse storage areas
- Complete production and shipping documentation
- Keep work areas clean and follow food safety standards
- Report equipment or production issues promptly
- Support warehouse and production operations as required
Qualifications
- Previous warehouse, packaging, or manufacturing experience preferred
- Forklift experience or certification considered an asset
- Ability to lift up to 25 kg and perform physically demanding work
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Basic computer skills and good communication abilities
- Ability to work rotating shifts
Schedule
- Full-time, 40 hours per week
- Monday to Friday
- Rotating day, evening, and night shifts
- Overtime available during peak production periods
