Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Soccer Referee to oversee youth and adult soccer matches. The ideal candidate will ensure that games are conducted fairly, safely, and according to official rules. This role offers an opportunity to promote sportsmanship, develop leadership skills, and contribute to the community’s recreational activities. The Soccer Referee must be attentive, impartial, and able to handle high-pressure situations with professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Enforce game rules and regulations during soccer matches to ensure fair play.
- Make quick, accurate decisions regarding fouls, penalties, and game flow.
- Maintain control of players, coaches, and spectators to promote a safe environment.
- Communicate effectively with players, coaches, and event staff regarding game procedures.
- Monitor field conditions and report any safety concerns or equipment issues.
- Keep track of game time, substitutions, and scorekeeping as needed.
- Uphold sportsmanship standards and serve as a positive role model for participants.
Requirements
- Prior experience in officiating or playing soccer is mandatory
- Must have referee license
- Strong knowledge of soccer rules and regulations.
- Excellent decision-making skills under pressure.
- Ability to communicate clearly and assertively with players and spectators.
- Physical fitness to stand for extended periods and move swiftly around the field.
- Must be at least 16 years old or older.
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings as needed.
