Calgary’s science centre is a pioneer in science entertainment and programming, with roots dating back to 1967. Home to one of Western Canada’s largest dome theatre, the Digital Immersion Gallery, VR experiences, and innovative spaces like Steven’s Lab, where interactive experiments unfold before your eyes. From the robot-dog Flint to Canada’s first robot-coa5ter, R05iE, and a 15-acre park surrounding the science of the developing brain, Spark is a hub for creative encounters.
Spark is currently recruiting for part-time, Seasonal Science Guides to join the Guest Services team. The Seasonal Science Guide, Guest Services reports directly to the Senior Manager, Business Development & Guest Services. This role will be a key contributor to the guest experience at TELUS Spark. They are accountable for delivering a world-class level of customer service to guests. They actively demonstrate creativity, collaboration, flexibility, and exceptional engagement in every aspect of their work at Spark Science Centre. As a Seasonal Science Guide, Guest Services you will start in the Guest Services home base where you will act as a host in the lobby with the goal of creating emotional connections with guests through the lens of science.
Qualifications & Knowledge
Spark is utilizing the Alberta Youth Employment Incentive as such all applicants must be between the ages of 15-24, be an Albertan resident, and a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident
Hourly rate range: $16.42 - $17.24 per hour.
