About QSS and this role:
Quality Smart Solutions (QSS) is a Canadian regulatory compliance and advisory firm founded in 2007. We help B2B companies worldwide bring regulated products to market and stay compliant, across supplements and natural health products, foods and ingredients, cosmetics, medical devices, and other consumer goods categories. Our core focus is Health Canada and the U.S. FDA, with support for global pathways as needed.
As we grow, we’re investing in clearer, more consistent design across everything we publish, from social and downloadable guides to presentations and campaign assets. We’re hiring a freelance graphic designer to support our marketing team on an ongoing basis, with significant scope including a rebrand and our upcoming 20-year anniversary campaign.
What you'll be working on:
- Social media assets and templates
- eBooks, lead magnets, and downloadable guides
- Webinar and presentation decks
- One-pagers, flyers, and service sheets
- Internal communications materials
- Landing page design and heuristic analysis (in collab. with our web dev)
- Stationery and swag
- Brand guidelines refinement and logo design
- Rebranding work
- And more
What we're looking for:
- A strong, diverse portfolio demonstrating range across formats
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop at minimum)
- Proficiency in Canva; many deliverables will be handed over as editable Canva templates
- Photoshop experience is an asset
- Figma experience is a plus
- Knowledge of motion graphics and After Effects is a plus
- A strong eye for layout, typography, and brand consistency
- Experience working within brand guidelines across multiple formats
- Logo design and rebranding experience is preferred
- Comfortable working remotely and independently with clear communication
Nice to have:
- Experience in B2B or regulated industries
- Motion graphics and After Effects
- Illustration skills
How it works:
This is a freelance contract role. You set your own hours and work remotely. Rate is commensurate with experience. You will join occasional check-ins with our Marketing team to align on briefs, priorities, timelines, and feedback. Depending on your time zone, this may require some flexibility for meeting times. We will do our best to accommodate your schedule as well, and keep meetings focused. Invoices must include a detailed breakdown of hours by task or project to support internal review and processing.
