Junior High Foundations Teacher
Upper Hay River School
The Position:
- Upper Hay River School is a Grade K to 12 school outside of High Level with a projected enrolment of 61 students
- Foundations classrooms focus primarily on building students’ literacy, numeracy and social-emotional skills. These classes provide targeted instruction for students with identified gaps in learning and are designed to accelerate growth through consistent, explicit teaching and frequent practice.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or have a valid work permit
- Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Education or applicable equivalent
- Must be eligible to obtain or have a valid Alberta Teaching Certificate
- Willing to relocate to northern Alberta
Incentives:
- Attractive Salary - $71,461 to $115,716 depending on experience and education

$5,000 Transitional Allowance, prorated based on start date

$6,300 Northern Allowance, prorated by FTE for part-time teachers
