Job Summary
The CPAP Clinician is responsible for the assessment, education, setup, and follow-up of patients diagnosed with Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) who are prescribed Positive Airway Pressure (PAP) therapy. This role ensures optimal patient outcomes through hands-on care, therapy adherence support, and collaboration with healthcare providers. The successful candidate will work between clinic locations in HRM with the focus on Dartmouth.
Duties
- Conduct patient assessments and determine therapy needs
- Educate patients and caregivers on OSA, PAP therapy, and maintenance
- Perform mask fittings and pressure titrations
- Set up PAP equipment (CPAP, APAP, BiPAP, etc.)
- Monitor compliance and interpret PAP data
- Provide follow-up and troubleshooting support
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals
- Maintain accurate patient documentation
- Adhere to privacy, safety, and clinical protocols
- Locations within HRM with the focus on Dartmouth
Requirements
- RT, RN, or LNP License required
- Experience in sleep therapy or CPAP setup preferred
- Excellent communication, education, and organizational skills
- Proficient with computer systems and PAP data software
