Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Educator (Level 2 or Level 3) to join our childcare team. The ideal candidate will create a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment that supports children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development through play-based learning.
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and welcoming classroom environment.
- Observe and document children's progress and developmental milestones.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom.
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and team members.
- Follow Alberta childcare regulations, health and safety policies, and program guidelines.
- Collaborate with colleagues to support children's individual needs and overall program goals.
Qualifications
- Alberta Early Childhood Educator Level 2 or Level 3 Certification (required).
- Experience working with infants, toddlers, or preschool-aged children is an asset.
- Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
- A caring, patient, and positive attitude.
- Valid First Aid/CPR Certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search.
- Ability to speak Arabic is considered an asset but is not required.
