Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Audio Visual Technician - Installer and Programmer to join our dynamic team. This role involves installing, configuring, and programming audio-visual systems for a variety of clients and environments. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, mechanical knowledge, and experience working with low voltage electrical systems. Duties
- Install audio-visual equipment including displays, projectors, sound systems, and control systems in commercial and residential settings.
- Program AV systems using industry-standard software to ensure optimal performance tailored to client needs.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain system integrity.
- Conduct maintenance and routine inspections of installed systems to ensure longevity and proper functioning.
- Interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals for accurate installation and troubleshooting.
- Utilize hand tools and mechanical knowledge to assemble, mount, and secure AV components safely.
- Work with telecommunication wiring, low voltage cabling, and electrical connections adhering to safety standards.
- Collaborate with clients and team members to ensure installation meets specifications and client expectations.
- Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, wiring diagrams, and service reports.
Experience
- Proven experience in AV system installation, programming, or related technical roles.
- Strong understanding of computer hardware components and software troubleshooting techniques.
- Familiarity with schematics, electrical wiring, low voltage systems, and telecommunication cabling.
- Mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience using hand tools for assembly and installation tasks.
- Knowledge of maintenance procedures for AV equipment and electrical systems.
- Prior experience working with electrical systems or electrical experience is highly desirable.
- Ability to interpret technical schematics and wiring diagrams accurately.
