A Day in the Life:
As a Facility Assistant I, you play a key role in supporting day-to-day grain and special crops operations at the Ste. Agathe facility. You will be responsible for receiving, processing, storing, and shipping commodities while ensuring quality standards are met. This role directly contributes to operational efficiency, safety, and customer satisfaction by keeping product moving accurately and efficiently through the facility.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Operate grain and/or special crops processing equipment, including binning, cleaning, drying, blending, and storage.

Load and weigh railcars and trucks to ensure accurate and efficient shipment preparation.

Receive incoming product, document quality and quantities, and report damages or shortages.

Maintain inventory accuracy through organization, monitoring, and reconciliation activities.

Assist in evaluating grain quality, including grading, dockage, and moisture under supervision.

Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment used in grain handling and processing.

Prepare shipping documentation and maintain product samples.

Maintain a safe and clean facility by following EH&S guidelines, ISO standards, and fire prevention practices.
Skills/Experience Requirements:

High school diploma (Grade 12) or equivalent required.

Previous grain or special crops experience is considered an asset.

Mechanical aptitude with the ability to operate and maintain processing and farm equipment.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with team members and customers.

Ability to work independently and take initiative in a hands-on environment.

Valid driver’s license may be required.

Physical ability to perform duties in a grain facility, including good eyesight and color perception.
