The Willows restaurant at Kamloops Golf & Country Club is looking for line cooks to join our team for the 2025 golf season and beyond. The member based golf club operates seasonally from March – November and has been recognized as the preferred golf course in the Kamloops area. This is a part time position with opportunity to earn full time hours and would begin immediately with opportunity for growth for the right individual.
Our collective agreement with CUPE is currently being negotiated which will likely result in a pay increase for our Line Cook position. A retro pay back to the start date for any increases will be done once the CBA is completed.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1.Set up and stock workstations with all necessary supplies
2.Cook menu items as per the direction of the Executive Chef and/or the Head Chef.
3.Works in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
4.Answers, reports, and follows the Executive Chefs instructions or his/her designate
5.Maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen
6.Stocks and records inventory and waste appropriately
7.Ensure that food comes out in a timely matter that meets club standards
8.Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
9.Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
10.Performs other related duties
Required Qualifications, Training, and Experience
1.A minimum of 1 year cooking experience
2.An understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
3.Be able to work by yourself and in a team setting
4.BC FOODSAFE LEVEL 1 Certification
5.Familiar with industry best practices
6.Always looks and acts in a professional manner.
7.Possess excellent interpersonal, customer service and communication skills.
8.Honest and trustworthy
9.A BC high school diploma or equivalent.
10.Ability to follow oral and written directions in English.
11.Clean and organized
