NOW HIRING: CERTIFIED DENTAL ASSISTANT
Chairside excellence. Genuine connection. A team that has your back.
Dentistry can be intimidating, and the Certified Dental Assistant is often the person who changes that. The one who explains what is about to happen before it does. The one whose calm, skilled presence makes a patient feel like they are in exactly the right place. At Langford Dental, that person is you.
We are looking for a Certified Dental Assistant who understands that technical skill and human warmth are not separate things. They are the same thing, expressed through every procedure, every patient interaction, every day.
Why Langford Dental?
Langford Dental is an established, thriving dental clinic located on Goldstream Avenue in the heart of the Westshore community. Since 2016, we have been delivering comprehensive family, cosmetic, surgical, and emergency dental care to a wide and growing patient base across Langford and the greater Victoria area. Our clinic is warm, beautiful, and accessible, and we have built a reputation for the kind of patient experience that keeps people coming back and sending their families.
Langford Dental was built around a straightforward idea: too many people avoid the care they need because they have never experienced a dental office that actually makes them feel comfortable. We exist to be that place. And the people who make that possible are our clinical team.
We are not a high-volume, revolving-door practice. We are a clinic that takes the time to do it right, with the technology, the team, and the culture to support that commitment. You will work in a well-equipped, professionally managed environment alongside experienced dentists and hygienists who value what a skilled CDA brings to the chair.
The Opportunity
- Chairside assisting across a full range of general and restorative procedures, including composites, extractions, endodontics, implants, and oral surgery
- Preparing operatories and ensuring all instruments, materials, and equipment are ready before the provider enters the room
- Taking and processing digital radiographs with precision and care
- Supporting sedation cases and monitoring patient comfort throughout procedures
- Sterilizing and maintaining instruments and equipment in accordance with BCCOHP and clinic standards
- Building genuine patient rapport, reducing anxiety, explaining next steps clearly, and acting as the patient's advocate throughout their appointment
- Collaborating closely with associate dentists and hygienists as a fully integrated clinical team member
- Supporting inventory management, instrument tracking, and overall clinic readiness
What You Bring
- Current registration with the BC College of Oral Health Professionals (BCCOHP) as a Certified Dental Assistant
- Ortho module is an asset
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on clinical chairside experience
- Nitrous oxide monitoring certification is an asset
- Experience assisting with implant and surgical procedures is an asset
- Familiarity with digital radiography and dental practice management software (PowerPractice experience is an asset)
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to anticipate the needs of both the provider and the patient
- A warm, composed, and empathetic chairside manner — the kind patients remember and mention by name
What We Offer You
- Full-time, permanent position in a well-established and professionally managed clinical environment
- Competitive compensation commensurate with experience
- Comprehensive health and dental benefits package
- Continuing education support and professional development funding
- Uniform allowance
- Performance bonuses tied to clinic growth and patient satisfaction
- A stable, experienced team with a strong culture of mutual respect and clinical excellence
- Room to grow within a multi-clinic organization that promotes from within
At Langford Dental, we understand that exceptional patient care is delivered by exceptional people. Not just skilled ones. People who show up with intention, who treat every patient like a person rather than an appointment, and who take genuine pride in being the reason someone leaves feeling better than when they walked in.
If that sounds like the kind of work you want to do every day, we would love to hear from you.
