Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Manager to oversee and coordinate construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, technical expertise, and a comprehensive understanding of construction processes. This role involves managing project schedules, budgets, quality control, and ensuring safety standards are met. The Construction Manager will play a pivotal role in delivering projects on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards. Candidates should have a proven track record in supervising construction teams and utilizing industry-leading management software.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise construction projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards
- Develop detailed project plans using construction management software such as ProCore.
- Review blueprints, schematics, and construction estimates to ensure accuracy and feasibility
- Coordinate with clients to facilitate smooth project execution
- Oversee procurement of materials and equipment, ensuring cost-effective purchasing aligned with project needs
- Monitor construction progress daily, addressing issues promptly to prevent delays
- Enforce safety protocols and conduct regular site inspections to maintain a safe working environment
- Manage project documentation, including change orders, RFIs, and progress reports
- Conduct quality control inspections to ensure work meets specifications and industry standards
- Control project budgets by tracking expenses and implementing cost-saving measures when appropriate
Experience
- Proven experience in construction management with a strong background in supervising construction teams
- Extensive knowledge of construction processes, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and estimating techniques
- Proficiency with construction management software such as ProCore, Bluebeam and other relevant tools
- Demonstrated ability in budgeting, scheduling, and project planning within complex construction environments
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing subcontractors and coordinating multidisciplinary teams
- Familiarity with quality control procedures and safety regulations on construction sites
- Prior experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards of quality and safety
