Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Kitchen Cabinet Installer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately installing kitchen cabinets, ensuring they are secure, level, and aesthetically aligned with project specifications. Your expertise will contribute to transforming spaces and delivering exceptional results for our clients. Responsibilities
- Install kitchen cabinets, vanities, pantry units, and custom millwork.
- Read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and installation plans.
- Measure and verify installation areas before beginning work.
- Ensure cabinets are level, plumb, securely fastened, and properly aligned.
- Install fillers, crown molding, light valances, toe kicks, panels, hardware, and accessories.
- Make on-site adjustments and modifications as required for a precise fit.
- Coordinate with project managers, designers, and other trades to ensure smooth project completion.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized worksite.
- Inspect completed installations to ensure they meet company quality standards.
- Safely use hand tools, power tools, and installation equipment.
- Load, unload, and transport cabinetry while preventing damage.
- Apply caulking or finishing touches to create seamless joints and polished appearances.
Qualifications:
- Experience installing kitchen cabinets and custom millwork.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong knowledge of carpentry and installation techniques.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy materials.
- Valid driver's license.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg) or more with assistance.
- Frequent standing, bending, kneeling, climbing, and lifting.
- Comfortable working in residential construction and renovation environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with high-end custom cabinetry.
- Knowledge of cabinet hardware and accessories.
- Experience working on occupied residential projects.
- WHMIS, First Aid, or other safety certifications are considered an asset.
