Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Gardener/ Maintenance to for a 4 month contract full time Monday to Fridays. The ideal candidate will have a strong appreciation for nature and a keen eye for detail. This role involves maintaining gardens and landscapes, ensuring they are healthy, vibrant, and aesthetically pleasing.
Duties
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to perform various gardening tasks.
- Plant, water, and irrigate flowers, shrubs, trees, and other plants.
- Remove dying plants and replant new ones
- Trim the Hedges so that they are even
- Conduct regular landscape maintenance including weeding, pruning, and mulching.
- Monitor plant health and implement pest control measures as necessary.
- Maintain garden equipment
- Shovel and plow the snow in the winter
- Ensure that the garage is tidy
- Make sure the vehicles are clean and in good running order
- Assist with daily housekeeping duties as required
- Sweep outdoors
- Paint, repair items that need attention
- Replace light bulbs throughout the property
- Remove animal nests in and around the property
- Power wash areas as necessary
- Clean the windows exterior and interior as needed
- Other duties as assigned.
Experience
- Previous experience in gardening or landscape maintenance is preferred
- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in gardening tasks.
- Basic knowledge of plant care, irrigation techniques, and garden maintenance practices.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining physical stamina for manual labor.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to lift 50-100lbs as necessary
