Job Summary
The Inventory & Receiving Coordinator is responsible for receiving fruit, packaging, and other materials, ensuring inventory accuracy, performing quality inspections, maintaining lot traceability, and organizing warehouse inventory. This role supports efficient operations by accurately tracking incoming products and ensuring they are properly documented, stored, and entered into company systems.
Responsibilities
- Receive and verify incoming fruit, packaging, and warehouse supplies
- Weigh, count, and inspect incoming products for accuracy and quality
- Enter receiving and inventory information into company software
- Perform quality control checks and document findings with photos
- Apply labels, lot codes, and traceability information to inventory
- Match packing slips, purchase orders, and invoices to received goods
- Report shortages, damages, quality concerns, and inventory discrepancies
- Ensure products are stored in the correct locations and conditions
- Maintain accurate inventory records and lot tracking information
- Assist with cycle counts and physical inventory audits
- Operate warehouse equipment safely (forklift experience an asset)
- Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe receiving area
- Support warehouse and operations teams with daily inventory-related tasks
- Follow company food safety, quality, and workplace safety procedures
- Ensure all receiving documentation is completed accurately and on time
Requirements
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Comfortable using inventory management and data entry software
- Ability to take, upload, and organize digital photos
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a warehouse setting
- Forklift certification or experience is considered an asset
- Previous warehouse, inventory, receiving, procurement, or food industry experience is considered an asset
