This role involves providing professional haircuts, color treatments, and styling services while ensuring client satisfaction and maintaining high sanitation standards. The Hair Stylist will also engage in retail sales and front desk responsibilities to enhance the overall client experience.

What We Are Looking For
- CANS Licensed: Must hold a valid license from the Cosmetology Association of Nova Scotia.
- Work Authorization: Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
- Textured Hair & Braiding: Eager to work with textured hair and willing to learn professional braiding.

Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of hair services including cutting, coloring, styling, and treatments tailored to client preferences.
- Provide excellent customer service by listening carefully to clients’ needs and offering professional recommendations.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of tools, equipment, and workstations in accordance with health regulations.
- Upsell retail products such as shampoos, conditioners, and styling products to enhance client results and increase sales.
- Manage front desk duties including scheduling appointments, checking in clients, and handling payments.
- Foster a friendly and professional atmosphere to ensure repeat business and positive client relationships.
- Stay current with the latest hair trends, techniques, and industry best practices through ongoing education and training.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Hair Stylist or in a similar role is preferred but not required; training will be provided for those new to the profession.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clients.
- Knowledge of sanitation procedures related to hair care services.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and provide a seamless salon experience.
- Experience with retail sales and front desk operations is a plus but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential.
