Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience in repairing and maintaining various types of heavy machinery and equipment. This role requires a hands-on approach to troubleshooting, diagnosing issues, and performing repairs to ensure optimal performance and safety of equipment used in industrial and agricultural settings.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues in heavy equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery including inspections, adjustments, and replacements of parts as needed.
- Assemble and disassemble equipment for repairs or upgrades.
- Operate heavy equipment to test functionality post-repair.
- Utilize power tools and hand tools effectively while adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance performed, and parts used.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects and adherence to safety standards.
- Assist in training junior mechanics or apprentices as necessary.
Experience
- Proven experience in Heavy truck repair or heavy equipment maintenance is essential
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various types of industrial equipment.
- Experience with heavy trucks, agriculture machinery is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job duties.
- Proficiency in using power tools and understanding electrical systems related to heavy machinery operation.

Must provide most of own tooling. This is not a dealership Job, Small business with lots of work. 90% of work is on the road in field. Some machines Get worked on in yard.
