The Intern, Digital Marketing and Foundation Donor Programs is a competent, self-starting, passionate, and hard-working individual who supports both the COF and Digital Teams. The intern will support the delivery of a high-quality user experience across all Digital Products (web, app, email, loyalty), assist with digital analytics tracking, and support the Foundation’s fundraising and athlete engagement efforts under clear direction from the Digital Marketing and COF teams.
LOCATION
This internship will be located in the COC office in Toronto, ON, located at 250 Yonge St. Suite 3000.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND PRIORITIES:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Digital Marketing and Data
- Supports Digital Product ecosystem maintenance (Website, App, Email, Olympic Club)
- Contributes to user experience improvements across all Digital Products
- Builds fan engagement content experiences using provided tools
- Supports contest creation and manages contest fulfillment
- Assists in the execution of Email newsletters
- Helps with email subscriber list management and inbox maintenance
- Aids in email inbox clearing and forwarding of messages
- Assists social media and written digital content creation efforts
Supports Analytics measurement, tracking and reporting efforts for COC and partner campaigns

Foundation Donor Programs
- Support the COF’s Annual Giving fundraising efforts through benchmarking and analysis, as well as the development, planning and execution of a fundraising strategy
- Assist in the execution of athlete awards including administrative support, scheduling reveal calls, and reporting to donors
- Assist in database management, including preparing mail, email lists and analysis
- Support the COF’s Development team with prospect management and research, as required
Support the planning and execution of stakeholder events

QUALIFICATIONS AND CRITICAL SKILLS:
- Must be enrolled in a Canadian degree or diploma program in Business (Marketing, Communications, Commerce, Sport Management, Fundraising), or relevant field
- Interest and experience in digital marketing as a practice
- An understanding of fundraising methods, CRA regulations, campaigns and fundraising best practices is an asset
- Knowledgeable and passionate about sports and Canadian athletes
- Self-starter with ability to work effectively individually and in a team
- Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset
- Strong writing skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Comfortable working with WordPress and digital analytics tools is an asset
Familiarity with the Olympic movement is an asset

COMPENSATION
This is a paid internship. The intern will earn an hourly wage of $18.50 with a maximum of 35 hours per week.
