Industrial Sewing Machine Operator – $19/hr – Mississauga – Immediate Hire
Pillow & Duvet Production | Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
We're hiring Industrial Sewing Machine Operators for a busy pillow and duvet production line in Mississauga. This is high-volume production sewing (closing and finishing filled bedding products) — not garment construction.
Pay & Schedule
- $19.00/hour
- Full-time, Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- Temp-to-permanent position
- Quick hiring process: hands-on sewing test, no lengthy interviews — testing available the week of July 13th
What You'll Do
- Operate overlock/serger machines to close pillow ticks and duvet openings and seams
- Operate single-needle and double-needle machines for seaming, hemming, and reinforcement
- Guide filled product through the machine accurately at production speed
- Inspect finished pillows/duvets against quality specs before packaging
- Flag stitching or machine issues immediately
- Handle basic machine upkeep: threading, needle/bobbin changes, tension adjustment
- Meet daily production targets in a fast-paced environment
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of industrial sewing machine experience (overlock/serger required)
- Comfortable in a warehouse/manufacturing setting; able to stand/sit for extended periods and lift up to 30–35 lbs
- Basic English for safety and shop-floor communication
- Reliable and punctual
- Bonus: experience with Juki machines or home textiles (pillows, duvets, comforters, linens)
- Must pass a hands-on sewing skills assessment
