Full time 6 month contract with possibility of extension.
Monday - Friday
7:00am - 3:30pm (Day shift)
The Dock Cleaner ensures that the dock remains tidy and free of debris with supplies organized and in the proper locations.
Indoor & Outdoor Maintenance.
Forklift experience required.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Putting Pallets away, clearing garbage bins, stocking stations
Working inside and outside of the building
Safety shoes required
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES:
- Basic literacy skills – read, write and speak English;
- Good organization skills;
- Attention to detail;
- Ability to work with minimal supervision;
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
In this function, the employee is required to walk and/or stand and when needed some lifting is required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The dock is quite noisy due to the ongoing movement of forklifts and the volume of tractor trailers that enter and exit the terminal. The weather conditions consist of cool days during the winter months and warm days during the summer months.
