Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Journeyman Carpenter/Foreman to join our construction team. This role involves the installation, assembly, and securing of structural steel components for wood-built commercial and residential projects. The ideal candidate will have experience working with hand tools, reading blueprints, and understanding schematics, ensuring the safe and efficient completion of projects. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse construction sites and residential delopments. *We are NOT seeking helpers or apprentices for this position.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to determine installation requirements.
- Use hand tools such as tape measures, survey transit level, wrenches, hammers, drills, and levels to assemble and install Columns and Beams.
- Measure and mark locations for placement of building components accurately according to project specifications.
- Guiding crane operators and rigging loads in preparation for lifting and securing wood -clad steel pieces using hammer drills and bolts.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure adherence to safety protocols and project timelines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, inspecting equipment regularly for safety compliance.
Pay: $35.00-$45.00 per hour
