Job Title: Building Superintendant

Job Description:
Canada Maintenance is seeking a dedicated and experienced Building Superintendent to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for providing high-quality cleaning services.
Responsibilities:
- Perform regular inspections of the building's facilities to identify and address maintenance needs.
- Work with janitor to ensure all cleaning tasks complete to specification.
- Handle emergency repair requests and coordinate timely resolution.
- Supervise cleaning staff and ensure the building is kept clean and safe.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations.
- Maintain records related to maintenance schedules, repairs, and inspections.
- Coordinate with property managers to address tenant issues and concerns.
- Oversee heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), swimming pool systems and ensure they are functioning properly.
- Monitor and maintain plumbing, electrical, and other essential building systems.
- Respond to tenant inquiries and resolve any complaints promptly.
- Oversee security measures and ensure the building is secure at all times.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in superintendant services.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle emergencies effectively.
- Familiarity with local building codes and regulations.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with tenants and vendors.
- Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Technical skills in plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems maintenance.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Basic computer skills for maintaining records and communicating via email.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
