We have an exciting opportunity for a Kinesiologist to join our innovative, purpose-driven, and multi-disciplinary clinical team.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
Reporting to the Manager of Clinical Services, you will provide support and treatment to clients who work in a variety of occupation, but with a particular focus on working with first responders. Team collaboration and communication are essential to success in this role. You’ll work in a fast-paced environment as an integral member of a dynamic multidisciplinary team, while sharing our core values of communication, community, excellence, health, and innovation.
Client Support and Treatment Accountabilities
- Schedule and complete orientation sessions for clients when initiating treatment and ensure smooth transition of clients into program.
- Provide 1-1 exercise prescription for WorkSafeBC (Return to Work) clients within a holistic approach.
- Manage clients on the WorkSafeBC (Return to Work) waitlist and provide information regarding program.
- Design rehabilitation plans for clients with physical injuries with the goal of returning client to pre-accident level.
- Complete functional testing evaluation and re-assessments as indicated.
- Provide ongoing case management and client support.
- Facilitate group exercise and pain education classes.
Team Collaboration Accountabilities
- Participate/facilitate weekly case consultations with the interdisciplinary team.
- Oversee client care, communicating progress, concerns, and outcomes with other clinicians.
- Communicate and collaborate with team physiotherapist to ensure treatment plans are aligned.
Administrative Accountabilities
- Ensure same day completion of session notes.
- Template and complete initial, progress, and discharge reports for funders. Ensure these reports are faxed out in a timely manner.
- Maintain regular communication with the claim owner for client’s progress in programming, scheduling of case conferences and extension requests etc.
- Monitor schedule, and communicating with administrative team to ensure clients are booked in appropriate sessions and appointments.
Other responsibilities related to the role and scope of work may be assigned.
WHAT YOU BRING
Experience
- A minimum of 2 years of experience working with third-party funders in a clinical environment is highly desired.
- Experience of 1-1 exercise prescription and facilitating group classes is an asset.
- Experience in Workwell or Matheson Functional Capacity Evaluation is an asset.
Education
- A Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology is required.
- A certificate in Workwell or Matheson Functional Capacity Evaluation is an asset.
Professional Registration/Designation
- An active registration with the British Columbia Association of Kinesiologists (BCAK) is required.
- Professional liability insurance is required.
Technical Competences
Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams is required. Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems is also required.
Background Check
