Live Seafood Manager
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Seafood Manager to join our team. As a Seafood Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the seafood department, ensuring the highest quality products are available to our customers. You will manage inventory, supervise staff, and provide exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of the seafood department, including ordering, receiving, and stocking seafood products
- Ensure proper handling and storage of seafood to maintain freshness and quality
- Set and maintain attractive displays to showcase the variety of seafood available
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders as needed to meet customer demand
- Train and supervise seafood department staff, providing guidance and support
- Implement pricing strategies to maximize sales and profitability
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with their seafood selections and addressing any concerns or questions
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with health and safety regulations
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of seafood market trends, including sourcing, pricing, and quality standards
- Butchery experience for cutting fish and live crabs & lobsters.
- Store management experience, including inventory control and merchandising
- Proficient in math for calculating quantities, prices, and profit margins
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Experience in recruiting, training, and managing a team of employees
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to resolve issues in a professional manner
- Ability to make informed buying decisions based on market conditions and customer preferences
- Strong supervisory skills with the ability to motivate and lead a team
