Overview
We are seeking experienced shinglers to join our roofing team. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining roofing systems with a focus on quality, safety, and efficiency. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in roofing and construction, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team to deliver exceptional results on residential and commercial projects.
Responsibilities
- Install new roofing shingles according to project specifications and safety standards
- Repair or replace damaged roofing materials efficiently and accurately
- Use hand tools such as hammers, nail guns, and utility knives to complete tasks
- Read and interpret blueprints and construction plans to ensure proper installation
- Perform heavy lifting of roofing materials and equipment safely
- Apply caulking and sealants to ensure waterproofing and weatherproofing of roofs
- Assist with carpentry tasks related to roofing structures when needed
- Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to safety protocols at all times
Requirements
- Proven experience in roofing or construction, with specific expertise in shingling preferred
- Proficiency with hand tools and basic carpentry skills
- Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings accurately
- Physical strength and stamina for heavy lifting and working at heights for extended periods
- Knowledge of caulking techniques for weatherproofing applications
- Handyman experience or related skills are a plus
- Strong attention to detail, safety-conscious mindset, and reliable work ethic
Pay: $32.00-$40.00 per hour
