Bring your customer service and general office administration skills to this role with Fort William Historical Park (FWHP), where you will provide a range of clerical and admission support services to FWHP operations.
Please note: This position requires the successful candidate to have availability to work evenings and on weekends, and flexibility to work extra hours as required.
In this role, you will:
- provide group leadership and training to admissions staff
- act as point of contact for visitors with concerns about front-line service while monitoring the activities of admissions staff
- coordinate visitor admissions processing and walk-up ticket sales and oversee admissions for all individual and groups
- operate cash registers, maintain cash float, and reconcile daily sales by preparing cash out reports
- provide statistical reporting and coordinate visitor surveys
- prepare for group arrivals by coordinating with other departments
- answer general inquiries regarding programs, services and up-coming events at FWHP
Note: Fort William Historical Park is a 7-day a week, 24-hour operation. Position may be required to attend off-hour programs, work holidays and weekends.
- You must have a valid Class G Ontario Driver's Licence
- You can use your analytical skills to reconcile daily sales by preparing cash out reports, and explaining cash overages and shortages.
- You are able to resolve customer complaints by determining an acceptable solution.
- You can respond to a variety of unexpected visitor care issues.
- You possess group leadership skills to train and guide seasonal staff.
- You have proven interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills to respond to inquiries from external and internal clients, using tact and diplomacy.
You have:
- administrative skills to assist with the processing of admissions and statistical reporting.
- the ability to obtain knowledge of FWHP administrative procedures and guidelines to perform clerical/typing services.
You have:
- the ability to gain knowledge of FWHP programs, events, promotions, projects, policies and procedures.
- knowledge of retail sales operations, cash handling, processes and financial reporting; and reconciliation procedures to prepare statistical reports.
