Waypoint Centre for Mental Health Care is a 315-bed academic and teaching hospital that provides specialized mental health, addiction and geriatric care. Located on the shores of Georgian Bay, we serve some of the most complex and disadvantaged individuals in Ontario and are the sole provider of high-secure forensic mental health services in the province.
The Manager, People Experience & Talent Services is currently seeking a Temporary Full-Time Recruitment Specialist. This position provides support for the hospital in all aspects of the recruitment function and is a subject matter expert within this area of the People Experience & Talent portfolio of programs and processes.
This position offers a hybrid work environment consisting of in-office and remote work. Office location is 500 Church St in Penetanguishene, ON.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Bachelors degree in a related field (Required)
-
Specialized training/education in full cycle recruitment (Required)
-
Human Resources Management Certificate (Required)
-
Minimum of 3 years’ of progressive recruitment work experience, preferably within a unionized environment (Required)

Knowledge of employment legislation, collective agreements, and recruitment best practices.
- Understanding of talent acquisition, retention strategies, recruitment metrics, and labour market trends.
- Familiarity with LEAN, CQI, or Six Sigma methodologies.
- Strong understanding of workplace health, safety, security, and risk management requirements.
- Advanced communication, presentation, relationship-building, influencing, and conflict resolution skills.
- Advanced interviewing, candidate assessment, strategic sourcing, and talent advisory skills.
- Experience using applicant tracking systems and managing candidate pipelines.
- Strong project management, planning, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, and creating inclusive recruitment practices.
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities and adapt effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and recruitment technologies, including social media, SEO, and campaign management tools.
