Job Summary
- Position Title: Full-Time Restaurant Cashier & Kitchen Helper
- Location: Cold Lake, AB
- Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
- Hours: 48 hours per week (8 hours per day)
- Salary: $20.00 per hour
- Payroll & Compliance: All compensation is processed strictly through our corporate ADP payroll system with standard statutory deductions, including T4, CPP, and EI.
Key Responsibilities
1. Front-of-House (Cashier & Customer Service)
- Operate the electronic POS system to greet walk-in customers and accurately input dine-in orders.
- Efficiently manage phone calls and online ordering platforms to process customer orders.
- Securely pack high volumes of takeout orders (which make up 80% of our business) with speed and accuracy.
- Handle cash and card transactions responsibly while maintaining a clean, welcoming front counter.
2. Back-of-House (Kitchen Assistance & Prep)
- Assist the kitchen team with daily food preparation, including washing, cutting, and prepping ingredients for Korean soup bases.
- Safely operate commercial deep fryers to marinate, batter, fry, and glaze authentic Korean chicken according to exact brand recipes and timing standards.
- Maintain standard cleaning schedules for kitchen workstations, commercial deep fryers, ventilation systems, and customer seating areas.
Job Requirements
1. Legal Identity & Audit Compliance (Mandatory)
- Legal Status: Candidates MUST currently hold valid Canadian Citizenship or Permanent Residency (PR) status in Canada. Due to strict regulatory compliance and corporate audit frameworks, we cannot accept applications from temporary residents (including Open/Closed Work Permits, Study Permits, or Refugee status) for this specific role.
- Conflict of Interest Policy: In compliance with our organizational audit guidelines, applicants must be independent third parties and cannot have any immediate family ties or direct relationships with the business directors or shareholders.
- Commitment: Must be available for a stable, long-term employment commitment of at least 6 consecutive months.
2. Skills & Qualifications
- Language: Strong, fluent English communication skills are required to confidently handle local customer phone calls and take precise orders.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in a commercial kitchen, fast-food establishment, or high-volume takeout restaurant is preferred. Hands-on experience operating commercial deep-fryer equipment is highly valued.
- Physical & Schedule Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 30 lbs, and work a full schedule of 48 hours per week (8 hours per day).
