Job Summary
Purpose: To efficiently and safely operate various pieces of equipment and perform general labouring duties.
The operator will also be required to do some general laboring dues incl; manually moving of materials, supplies, cleaning, fueling and degreasing of machinery, assisting in screen, belt or other part changes as required, etc.
Responsibilities and Duties
Responsibilities:
· Maintain safe work area
· Operate various pieces of heavy equipment productively within the machine's rated capabilities
· Follow instructions and be willing to take on various assigned job tasks
· Lock out machine when cleaning and performing maintenance.
· Wear and maintain PPE per Company policy.
· Reliable team player
Duties include but will not limited to:
· Perform pre-start checks each morning and complete inspection reports
· Various equipment use may include haul truck, front end loader, excavator, etc.
· Loading or Unloading materials
· Stockpiling, sorting or loading of trucks
· Perform daily clean-up of machine and surrounding area
· Perform weekly maintenance as detailed in the equipment manual.
· Report any safety hazards or machine deficiencies.
· Other duties as assigned
