We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Yard Supervisor to join our team and oversee daily yard operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and organization across all activities.
Job Overview
The Yard Supervisor is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the yard, including product handling, inventory control, shipping and receiving, and coordination with production and logistics teams. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who thrives in an outdoor, fast-paced industrial environment and can effectively lead a team while maintaining a strong focus on safety and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Yard Operations & Supervision
- Oversee daily yard activities, including loading/unloading, staging, and organization of concrete products
- Supervise and support yard staff to ensure tasks are completed safely and efficiently
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of equipment such as forklifts, loaders, and cranes
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment
Shipping, Receiving & Inventory
- Coordinate incoming and outgoing shipments with dispatch and production teams
- Verify product quantities and quality during shipping and receiving processes
- Maintain accurate inventory records and perform regular yard audits
- Other duties as assigned
Health & Safety Compliance
Enforce company safety policies and procedures
- Conduct regular safety checks and promote safety-first culture
- Identify hazards and implement corrective actions
Skills & Qualifications
- 3–5 years’ experience in yard, construction, or industrial environment
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Forklift/operator certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong knowledge of workplace safety practices
- Organizational and leadership skills
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
· Excellent organizational and time management skills
· Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills
