Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Prep Cook to join our culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing ingredients, assisting with food assembly, and supporting the kitchen staff to ensure smooth restaurant operations. Responsibilities
- Prepare fresh ingredients by washing, peeling, chopping, and measuring as needed for daily menu items
- Assist with cooking and assembling dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workstations and storage areas
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and hygiene standards are met
- Support the kitchen team during meal preparation times, ensuring timely service
- Stock supplies and notify management of inventory needs or shortages
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and sanitation protocols at all times
- Assist with basic cooking tasks under the supervision of head cooks or chefs
Experience
- Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates
- Knowledge of serving, food handling, and kitchen safety practices is advantageous
- Experience working in a restaurant or food industry setting is a plus
- Familiarity with meal preparation techniques and food safety standards is highly desirable
