Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Dough Roller to join our bakery team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing dough for various baked goods, ensuring consistent quality and texture - with periods of fast paced, and periods of less intensity. This role is vital in maintaining the production flow and supporting the overall bakery operations. Candidates with experience in food preparation, baking, or the food industry are encouraged to apply. A strong understanding of food safety and handling procedures is essential to ensure compliance and product excellence.
Responsibilities
- Roll out dough to specified thickness and size using manual or machine equipment
- Prepare dough batches according to recipes and production schedules
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work area and equipment in accordance with food safety standards
- Assist with other food preparation tasks such as shaping, filling, or decorating baked goods as needed
- Ensure consistent quality of dough by monitoring texture, elasticity, and appearance
- Follow all food handling and safety guidelines to prevent contamination
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines efficiently
- Package finished products carefully for storage or delivery
Qualifications
- Prior experience in baking, food preparation, or kitchen operations preferred
- Knowledge of cake decorating, food handling, and food safety standards is a plus
- Experience working in a restaurant or food industry environment is advantageous
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately
- Excellent customer service skills are beneficial for roles involving direct customer interaction
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks efficiently
- Basic understanding of packaging procedures for baked goods
- Food industry experience with a focus on baking or pastry work is highly desirable
Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
