Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated ABA Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will work closely with children and adolescents diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) to implement individualized treatment plans based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles. This role requires a commitment to fostering positive behavior change and enhancing the quality of life for clients through structured interventions and support.
Duties
- Conduct assessments to identify client needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Implement ABA strategies to promote skill acquisition and reduce challenging behaviors.
- Collect and analyze data on client progress, adjusting interventions as necessary.
- Collaborate with families, educators, and other professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to care.
- Provide training and support to family members in implementing strategies at home.
- Maintain accurate documentation of sessions, progress notes, and treatment plans.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
Experience
- A background in psychology, education, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with ABA principles and techniques is a plus, though training may be provided for the right candidate.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for effective collaboration with clients and their families.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to build rapport with clients are crucial for success in this role.
