Currently seeking casual Dietary Aides to join our team at North Queens Nursing Home in Caledonia, NS. North Queens Nursing home is a progressive 44 bed long term care facility which prides itself on providing high quality care to seniors.
Qualifications:
· Previous food service experience required, preferably in a long term care setting
· Relevant education in Food Handling and Sanitation, Food Service Worker Course, and/or Basic Cooking are an asset
· Current WHMIS and Food Handlers Course required
· Must be physically able to perform the duties of the position
· Ability to work independently or as team
· Must be able to accept supervision
· Regular attendance in current and previous employment
· Experience and interest in working with seniors
· Alzheimer’s Disease and other Dementias care course an asset
Rate: as per CUPE local 2997 collective agreement
