Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Early Childhood Educator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment for young children. This role involves planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activities, supporting children's individual needs, and fostering a positive learning atmosphere. Bilingual skills in English and French are highly valued, along with experience working with children and individuals with disabilities. The Registered Early Childhood Educator will play a vital role in promoting early childhood development and ensuring a safe, inclusive space for all children.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development
- Foster a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for children of diverse backgrounds and abilities
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to support children's growth and well-being
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily activities using computer skills and organizational skills
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan classroom activities, special events, and individualized support plans for children with disabilities or special needs
- Ensure compliance with licensing regulations, safety standards, and best practices in early childhood education
- Support children's social interactions and emotional regulation through positive guidance techniques
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with early childhood education best practices
Experience
- Proven experience working with children in educational or childcare settings
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special education needs is preferred
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French is highly desirable
- Demonstrated classroom experience with early childhood education principles
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, families, and team members
- Familiarity with computer operation for record keeping, lesson planning, and communication purposes
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently
- Leadership qualities to guide children’s learning experiences and collaborate within a team setting
- Ability to demonstrate time management skills to balance planning, instruction, and documentation tasks effectively
Pay: From $21.00 per hour
