Key Responsibilities
- Safely transport specialized, oversized, and heavy-haul loads across regional, cross-border (US/Canada), and long-haul routes.
- Oversee and verify complex trailer reconfigurations and ensure strict permit and weight compliance at inspection stations.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of heavy-spec tractors and multi-axle trailers.
- Safely secure high-value, oversized cargo using heavy-duty chains, binders, and straps.
- Coordinate seamlessly with project managers, pilot/escort drivers, and local authorities to ensure safe route execution.
- Maintain accurate digital logs and trip documentation via our electronic logging and dispatch systems.
Requirements & Qualifications
- License: Valid AZ Commercial Driver's License with abstract and CVOR.
- Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of proven experience specifically in oversized, overweight, or heavy-haul transportation.
- Skills: Proficient in handling multi-axle configurations (steerable dollies, lowboys, step-decks, etc.) and executing complex load securement.
- Cross-Border Ready: Must possess a valid passport and be fully eligible to enter the United States.
- Location: Must be able to reliably commute to or report to our yard in Woodstock, ON.
- Mindset: Extreme attention to detail, strong safety culture, and a professional attitude.
