Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and focused individual to work as a home and office cleaner, working as part of a team. Experience is an asset, but is not necessary. Training as a Cleaner I will be provided by the employer.
Uplift Cleaning Company is a cleaning business based in Fort Erie, providing service throughout the Niagara region. We typically operate Monday to Friday, within the hours of 9 am to 5 pm, with occasional evening and weekend work possible. Applicants for this position need to be available during these times.
Duties:
- Works with Cleaner II Supervisor, Business Owner, and / or Administrative Assistant to ensure that cleaning services are provided on schedule and up to Uplift Cleaning Company’s standards
- Provides residential cleaning services to clients in their homes, window washing, dog waste removal (poop scooping) service, and commercial cleaning services to clients in their place of business
- Demonstrates a consistent commitment to professionalism, client confidentiality, and safety in the workplace
- Perform general cleaning tasks, including dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and emptying trash containers
- Perform dog waste removal (poop scooping) in client’s yards
- Clean and disinfect bathrooms, including toilets, sinks, showers, and bathtubs
- Clean kitchens, including countertops, sinks, appliances, and floors
- Make beds, change linens, and do laundry
- Clean windows and mirrors
- Organize and tidy-up living spaces
- Clean office spaces, waiting and reception areas, break room areas, and rest rooms in the commercial setting
- Follow specific cleaning instructions provided by clients and / or the company
- Maintain a clean and organized cleaning station
- Properly caring for tools and equipment
- Communicate effectively with the other employees of Uplift Cleaning Company
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures
- Report any issues or concerns to the supervisor or owner / operator
- Learn how to use new tools and supplies as needed
Requirements:
- G-class driving license
- Reliable transportation
- Must be able to travel throughout the Niagara region for work
- Must be able to commute to Fort Erie for work
- Previous experience as a home or office cleaner is an asset, but not required
- Ability to work well as a team member
- Ability to maintain high standards of work and attention to detail
- Professional work attitude
- Ability to operate a variety of residential and commercial cleaning equipment, including vacuum cleaners, mops, and other cleaning equipment
- Ability to work efficiently on a fixed schedule
- Must have a safety-first attitude
Pay: $21.50 / hour
