Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physiotherapist Assistant to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will support licensed physiotherapists in delivering patient-centered care, assisting with treatment plans, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for patients. The ideal candidate will have experience in hospital or acute care settings, possess strong patient care skills, and be familiar with medical terminology. Duties
- Assist physiotherapists with patient assessments and treatment sessions
- Support patients during exercises and therapeutic activities as directed by the physiotherapist
- Prepare treatment areas and ensure all equipment is sanitized and ready for use
- Monitor patient progress and report any concerns or changes to the supervising physiotherapist
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments and progress notes
- Educate patients on home exercises and post-treatment care instructions
- Adhere to hospital protocols, safety guidelines, and infection control procedures
- Provide compassionate support to patients throughout their rehabilitation process
Qualifications
- Prior experience in hospital or acute care settings is preferred
- Strong understanding of patient care principles and medical terminology
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a healthcare team
- Compassionate attitude with a focus on patient comfort and safety
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain accurate documentation
- Certification or training as a Physiotherapist Assistant is advantageous but not mandatory
- Must be able to work flexible hours including potential shifts based on patient needs

Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour
