Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Automotive Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, with experience working on various types of machinery and equipment. Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on a wide range of vehicles and machinery, including cars, trucks, and industrial equipment.
- Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, brake repairs, tire rotations, and system inspections.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, schematics, and diagnostic equipment to identify issues accurately.
- Repair or replace mechanical components using electrical knowledge, and assembly skills.
- Follow safety protocols when handling heavy lifting tasks or working with electrical systems.
- Maintain detailed service records and communicate effectively with customers regarding repairs needed or completed.
- Support the team in maintaining a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an automotive mechanic or technician; dealership experience is a plus.
- Strong mechanical knowledge across automotive repair and maintenance procedures.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, electrical systems, schematics reading, and assembly processes.
- Experience working with HVAC systems.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently; physical strength is essential.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail for diagnostics and repairs.
- Good customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients about vehicle or equipment issues.
- Relevant certifications or licenses related to mechanic work are advantageous but not mandatory.
