Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Server/Bartender to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, excellent customer service skills, and experience in food and beverage service. This role involves preparing and serving drinks, engaging with guests, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere. Prior experience with POS systems and food safety standards is preferred. Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests in accordance with standard recipes and presentation guidelines
- Engage with customers to ensure a positive experience, addressing any questions or concerns promptly
- Operate POS systems for order processing and billing
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards
- Restock bar supplies as needed to ensure smooth service during shifts
- Ensure responsible alcohol service by monitoring guest consumption and adhering to legal requirements
- Assist in setting up the bar before opening and closing procedures afterward
- Collaborate with team members to deliver exceptional hospitality experiences
- Prior Experience serving South Indian cuisines preferred.
- Knowledge about South Indian dishes like Dosa, Idli, Puttu, Biriyani etc.
- Flexible in taking other roles & responsibilities as assigned.
- Experience working in newly launching restaurant environment.
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, particularly as a bartender or server
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during busy periods
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling, making change, and measuring ingredients
- Ability to serve alcohol responsibly in compliance with legal regulations
- Strong communication skills and a friendly demeanor that fosters a welcoming atmosphere
- Experience in the food industry, including serving, cashiering, and hospitality roles, is highly desirable
