Position Overview:
Yanda Canada Ltd. is seeking an experienced Electrical Foreperson to lead crews on a fast-paced modular construction project. This role is responsible for execution at the workface, ensuring safety, productivity, quality, and schedule compliance across all E&I scopes, including work within live operating plant environments & Well pad Construction .
Requirements:
- 3–5 years’ experience as a Electrical Foreperson in industrial construction
- Valid Journeyperson Electrician
- Proven experience working in live plant / operating facility environments / Well Pad Construction
- Strong working knowledge of Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures and energy isolation practices
- Strong leadership and proven safety track record
Required Certifications:
- CSTS
- First Aid
- Leadership for Safety Excellence
- Supervisor Training
Strong Understanding Of:
- Modular construction environments
- Multi-trade coordination
- Health, Safety & Environmental practices
Ability To:
- Read and interpret erection drawings and ISO drawings
- Use MS Office tools (Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- Communicate effectively across all levels
- Mentor and develop apprentices and forepersons
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and leadership skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise E&I crews in:
- Scheduling and workface planning
- Installation and assembly of modular components
- Plan, coordinate, and enforce Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures, ensuring all energy sources are properly isolated and verified prior to work
- Execute work safely within live plant environments, maintaining strict adherence to site-specific procedures and permitting systems
- Ensure compliance with:
- Occupational Health & Safety Regulations
- Company safety policies and procedures
- Drive safety culture by:
- Leading Toolbox Talks
- Ensuring FLRAs are completed and signed off
- Identifying and addressing hazards
- Monitor:
- Productivity
- Cost control
- Quality of work
- Coordinate daily and weekly planning with Forepersons
- Mentor Foremen and tradespeople in:
- Safety
- Job execution
- Team development
- Ensure all materials, tools, and work packages are complete before execution
- Identify and resolve:
- Scheduling conflicts
- Workforce challenges
- Execution issues at the workface
- Maintain strong field presence and leadership
