Teachers are required to teach pre-Kindergarten, kindergarten to grade 6 students in on board conduct and safety around the school bus. Instructors do not drive the school bus. This is a 10-12 week contract with possible extensions. Paid training on school bus student safety is provided. Must be interested in student safety, and willing to assist in developing programs. Some travel to rural schools in the Edmonton area. Expenses for travel will be covered.
Qualifications: Experience with children. comfortable presenting to large groups of students between 20-60 students. Teachers, Daycare worker, Education Assistance, teacher assistants preferred.
Must have own reliable transportations. Applicant must be able to provide a criminal record check. Applicant must be physically able to assist students out of the rear door of a school bus, able to handle last minute schedule changes, and have full access to a computer and email. Applicants must be comfortable with travelling independently to unfamiliar schools. Puppeteering experience would be an assist.
