Who we are:
BC Egg is a non-profit organization that oversees and manages the province’s egg farming industry. We work with approximately 155 family-owned and operated egg farms to bring the goodness of B.C. fresh eggs to your table. We oversee and manage the production, grading, and standards of all regulated eggs in B.C.
Primary Purpose:
The Operations Assistant plays a critical role in supporting the operational aspects of our organization, particularly in monitoring regulatory compliance, managing quotas, and facilitating communication among stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Management – Oversee record-keeping, data entry, and reporting for industry-specific programs.
- Program Communication – Serve as a liaison with farmers, ensuring clear and continuous communication to provide a thorough understanding of program details.
- Collaborative Interaction – Foster positive, respectful communication with co-workers, supervisors, and stakeholders to promote healthy relationships and maximize team effectiveness.
- Management Assistance – Support management with additional duties and tasks as needed
- Office Support – Provide backup assistance to the administrative assistant by managing routine office functions such as filing, scheduling, answering phone calls, handling correspondence, and ensuring general office upkeep, to keep daily operations running smoothly.
Desired Education, Experience and Competencies:
Education and Experience:
- A minimum of 2 years in an accredited post-secondary program, preferably mathematical or accounting related.
- Medium to advanced skills in excel.
- Knowledge of Agriculture and Supply management is preferred but not required.

What we offer:
- Starting Wage $27.94/hr. Wage increases are based on a Collective Agreement
