Job Summary
We are a growing local CPA firm based in Ontario, providing accounting, tax, bookkeeping, and advisory services to small businesses and individuals across various industries. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Accountant to join our collaborative team.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review T1 and T2 tax returns
- Prepare year-end working papers and financial statements
- Oversee payroll functions for small business clients
- Manage client engagements and track work-in-progress (WIP)
- Handle correspondence with the CRA related to audits, information requests, notices, and tax disputes
- Build and maintain strong client relationships by providing timely support and collecting necessary documentation and information
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 3–5 years of recent Canadian public practice experience, with a strong focus on personal and corporate tax
- Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, CaseWare, and Profile
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple engagements
- Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration
Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
