Overview
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical and electrical knowledge, with experience in industrial maintenance and troubleshooting heavy machinery. The position requires a proactive approach to maintenance and repair of heavy equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal operational performance.
Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on heavy machinery and equipment.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues using schematics, technical manuals, and analysis skills.
- Repair or replace defective parts utilizing welding, mechanical skills, and knowledge.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.
- Conduct electrical work with an emphasis on low voltage systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Assist in the installation of new equipment and upgrades following schematics and technical specifications.
- Ensure all work adheres to safety protocols and industry regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
Qualifications
- Red Seal certification
- Proven experience in industrial maintenance or manufacturing environments as a Heavy Duty Mechanic or similar role.
- Strong mechanical knowledge.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and analysis reports.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex mechanical or electrical issues quickly.
- Strong communication skills in English for effective teamwork and documentation.
- Knowledge of safety standards related to industrial maintenance operations.

Pay: $43.00 per hour
