Job Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Working Construction Supervisor to lead and direct our growing field operations in the Fort McMurray region. In this role, you will lead a 5 to 10-person crew, working alongside your team to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities:
-Hands-on Leadership: Work alongside the crew, leading daily tasks while directing and coordinating 5-10 construction workers.
-Safety Compliance: Enforce all OHS and company safety regulations, conduct daily toolbox talks, and maintain a zero-incident work environment.
-Quality Control: Ensure all work meets structural designs, blueprints, and project specifications.
-Resource Management: Monitor material inventory, track daily progress, and report directly to the Operations Supervisor.
-Training & Onboarding: Provide on-site training, performance feedback, and mentorship to junior crew members.
Qualifications:
-Experience: 3+ years of construction leadership/supervisory experience, with a solid background in civil, commercial, or general construction.
-Physical Capability: Ability to perform physically demanding construction tasks in varying Fort McMurray weather conditions.
-Certifications: Valid Standard First Aid, CSTS-09, WHMIS 2015, and a valid Class 5 Driver's License.
-Skills: Strong blueprint reading skills, conflict resolution, and effective communication.
Local candidates residing in the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo are preferred.
