We are seeking an experienced Restaurant Supervisor to lead our team and be hands-on with day to day operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for food service and customer service, and a comprehensive understanding of restaurant management. This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage a vibrant team, ensure exceptional customer experiences, and uphold the highest standards of food safety and hospitality. Experience with specialty coffee would be a huge benefit.
Duties
- Supervise daily restaurant operations to ensure quality standards are met.
- Manage staff training to build a motivated and efficient team.
- Use POS systems such as Toast POS for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in kitchen, service and dining areas.
- Monitor inventory levels, place orders for supplies, and manage standards for quality control.
- Lead customer service initiatives to enhance guest satisfaction and handle any complaints or concerns professionally.
- Ensure smooth coordination between front-of-house and kitchen staff.
- Implement operational policies related to food safety, alcohol service (if applicable), and overall restaurant standards.
- Communicate goals, updates, and training on new procedures or menu items.
- Maintain a welcoming environment that promotes teamwork, leadership, and excellent service.
Requirements
- Proven experience in restaurant management with strong supervisory skills; prior experience in hospitality or food service is essential.
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in team management and training new employees.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on hospitality excellence.
- Understanding of food safety regulations and proper food handling practices.
- Experience in managing restaurant operations within the food industry is required; barista experience is a huge plus.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lead by example, motivate staff, and foster a positive work environment.
